Get GMS on Huawei P40 Series or any of 2023 Devices With This Easy Method!
And other Huawei Devices with EMUI 12/HarmonyOS or Later!
In today’s lesson, we will guide you on the steps to install the default official Google services and apps that are usually present on all Android devices, which is known as GMS, which is an acronym for Google Mobile Service on your Huawei smartphone that you purchased in 2022 – and the same steps will be effective for Which phone will you buy from the same company in 2023!
In fact, we have made several explanations for the same thing before and using various applications such as Chat Partner, OurPlay, Dual Space and also GSpace. You may be wondering how often we write such explanations to do the same thing!
Well, you may not know, but due to some political issues between two countries that we will not mention here, all Huawei users are now suffering from the lack of the usual official Google services on their smart devices even though they are currently running Android! Also due to the same problem, these users were forced to abandon all these necessary services such as YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail, and many other necessary tools for any Android user against their will.
How to install Google Services on any Huawei Device 2023?
We are talking about an open source operating system here, so you will often find solutions to any problem you encounter as a user of this system even if it is an “unofficial” one. With several simple tools, you will be able to restore all the important Google apps and services to you on your new Huawei smartphone.
So, without any further talk, let’s go through the steps to install official Google services and apps on your Huawei phone whether it’s EMUI or even the new HarmonyOS.
Supported Huawei Devices
The steps listed below are more suitable for the latest Huawei P40 series from the Chinese company, and it includes the following devices:
- Huawei P40 Pro
- Huawei P40 Pro+
- Get Huawei P40 Lite
- Huawei Mate 30 Pro
What version should I download?
- Huawei P40 Pro: build 131
- Huawei P40 Pro Plus: build 132 “or version 142 for the Russian version”
- Huawei P40 Lite: build 226
- Huawei Mate 30 Pro: build 136
Step 1: Download EMUI 10 ROM
- Download and install HiSuite v11 from this link: Mediafire – Run it after installation.
- On your phone go to settings and search for HDB.
- Activate the button that you will find next to Allow All Connections via HDB.
- A code will appear in front of you when you turn on the option, type it into its field in the HiSuite tool.
- Download HiSuite Proxy from this link: GitHub and extract the contents of the file to your computer.
- Run the tool by two clicks on the HiSuite Proxy EXE file.
- You will see that you have some values entered in the Base PKG, Cust PKG and Preload PKG fields.
- Delete all the values you found in front of you so that the tool looks like the following image:
- Next, go to firmfinder website.
- On your phone, open the phone app and type in a number: *#*#2846579#*#*
- Choose Viewer Information > Version Info.
- Scroll down to see the Preload Software version and copy the first 6 letters and numbers in front of you.
- Type these letters and numbers in the Phone Model field in the location you opened in step 9.
- Then on the same page find out what version of Cust Software (mine was C432).
- Copy this number and then write it in the Region field on the site.
- Now in the Target version field, type 10 (because we are downgrading to EMUI 10).
- Now select the Downgrade ROM for your phone (according to the versions mentioned above).
- The version for the phone we are applying the explanation by was 131 – so I will download the 10.1.0.131 version.
- Click on the appropriate version for your phone and finally click on the ADD ROM button.
- You will notice that this ROM is “automatically” added in the HiSuite Proxy tool you ran in step 6.
- Now choose Cust ROM (Custom Software version above was C432), so find yours and again click on ADD ROM button.
- The same thing will happen again and this information will be added automatically in the tool.
- Again go to your phone and check Preload Software version number. For the phone we are applying this explanation to, this version is C432R5.
- In the same way go to the site and search for the same number and click on the ADD ROM button and it will be added in the tool as well.
- In the tool options, check the Roll-Back OS option, which you will find in the OS Type section – then click on the Setup button under the Configuration section.
- Now the tool using this information will install the necessary files as well as the customized version of HiSuite 11 on your computer. Once you have completed this process, go to the next section of the explanation to start the process of actually downloading a lower system version to your current Huawei smartphone.
Step 2: Downgrade
- First, you will need to enable USB debugging mode on your device. To do that, do the following:
- Go to Settings
- Then about the phone
- Click on the system version number 7 times in a row until “You are now a Developer” appears
- Go back to settings again
- Go to Developer Options
- Enable USB Debugging Mode
- On the computer, open the HiSuite 11 tool and you will notice that it has recognized your phone.
- Enter the “verification code” and complete the following.
- After that, click on the word Update, which you will find in the lower right corner.
- Currently the tool will check if you have the latest version, from here click on Switch to Older Version .
- Now click on Restore Options > Rollback > Agree.
- The Downgrade process will now start, and once completed the tool will alert you.
- Now that you have Downgraded your phone’s operating system, let’s now start the process of installing the official Google services.
Step 3: Install GMS on Your Huawei Device
- Download and extract the contents of the GSM File Package. You will get several applications and a Backup folder.
decompress password: https://mohamedovic.com - Move the Backup folder to the internal storage (main path).
- Now go to Application Settings > Show System Processes > Backup > Uninstall.
- Now install the Backup APK file from the folder you downloaded.
- Now go to Settings > System updates > Time and date > Turn off auto update for them.
- Now reset the date for 2019.
- Again, go to Settings > System Updates > Backup & Restore > Data Backup.
- The backup process will appear before you, click Next, then Agree.
- Now click on the floating icon that you will find in the right corner at the top and choose Restore from Internal Storage.
- Now choose the backup file and click on Restore. And if it ask for a password, type: systemhacks13
- Once the recovery process is finished, you will see a new app named Google Play Service. Open it and it will ask you for some permissions, agree to give it all the permissions it needs.
- Now click on the blue confirmation button that will appear below.
- Now go to Settings > System updates > Time and date > Enable automatic update for them again.
- After that go to the folder you downloaded and install the MicroG-Huawei Fix file.
- Now open it, go to Account > Click on Sign in > Type your Google Account and Passcode.
You may need to repeat this step more than once, don’t worry it’s normal. - Again go to the folder you downloaded and install the Play Store APK.
- After you are done, install the Policy_sidecar.apk.
- Now install the Contacts Sync, then GAM login, and finally the Google Service Framework APK.
- Once you have finished installing the above files, uninstall the MicroG app.
- Now go to Settings > User & Account > Google.
- Choose your current account and activate the “Sync” option.
You may need to click multiple times on the Sync button for it to work. - Again go to the folder you downloaded and install GSP 1 APK.
- Now go to your apps list and open the Google Play Store app and hit Retry a few times until it works.
- Now go to Settings > Applications > Show System Processes > Google Account Manager > Force Stop > Storage > Clear Data.
- Go back to the previous page but this time select Google Play Store > Force Stop > Storage > Clear Data.
- Now go back and choose Google Services Framework from the previous page and repeat the same steps.
- After you’re done, restart the phone.
- After the restart, go to the folder you downloaded and install the GPS 2 APK.
- Again restart the phone.
You may notice that we have repeated the steps, they have already been repeated and this is not an error, so do not skip any step. - Go to Settings > Show System Processes > Google Play Service > Manage Storage > Clear All Data > OK.
- Restart the phone.
- Now, you are finally able to launch the Google Play Store and download the apps you want!
Hi Mohamed,
Thanks very much for your very clear steps, very helpful indeed. Much better than a lot of outdated confusing articles out there. I would be grateful for your guidance on the following question :
I have a Mate 30 Pro with firmware upgraded to EMUI 11.0.0.168, and want to rollback. following your instructions, after entering “LIO-L29” in the model field in the Firm Finder, and C636, and version 10, i can only find base package version 10.0.0.134, there is no version 136 as you mentioned. Can I use the version 134 ROM for the Base PKG in HiSuite Proxy?
What is the password for the Huawei p40 lite e GSM file package

Tengo un P40 Pro (C605)
pero he tenido problemas al degradas de la version 11 a una version 10, al final aparece falla en la actualizacion
For people who struggled with Hisuite connection issue to internet while downgrading, try installing Hisuite 11 app on your phone, as HiSuite Proxy was using HiSuite 11 backend , not 10.
