Samsung has finally announced its highly anticipated phone from the FE series in the mid-range category, the Galaxy S24 FE. This year’s version of the series stands out with a larger 6.7-inch screen compared to the previous version’s 6.4-inch, and accordingly, there’s also a larger battery. There’s a greater focus on performance improvements rather than just including a powerful processor, as we were used to in this series.
One of the new differences this year is that the phone won’t come with different processors for different markets. Instead, all versions will only include the Exynos 2400e chip, developed by Samsung.
As is customary with every new Samsung smartphone, there are usually several new designs for the default wallpapers that come with it. The Galaxy S24 FE is no exception! You can now download the official wallpapers of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE in their original quality from below.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE – Specifications
At first glance, you might notice similarities in design with the Galaxy S24. Both feature flat, rounded edges and a metal frame. However, this is not surprising, as the Korean company follows a unified design approach for all its devices, whether flagship or mid-range, to the extent that you can hardly tell the difference between one phone and another unless you check the settings to see the actual device name.
Despite the design similarities, the internal hardware and specifications are entirely different. So, let’s dive into the details below.
Display
To start with, you should know that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is water and dust resistant with an IP68 rating. On the front, you’ll get a highly impressive 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of FHD+ (1080×2340 pixels). This stunning screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ technology, and it boasts a brightness level of up to 1900 nits.
Chip and Storage Options
Under the hood, as mentioned earlier, you’ll find Samsung’s Exynos 2400e processor, which features ten cores built on a 4nm architecture with a clock speed of up to 3.11GHz for heavy tasks. In terms of storage options, the phone comes in 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB configurations, with only 8GB RAM available (note that there is no slot for microSD external storage). The operating system is the latest so far, Android 14 with One UI 6.1, and it will be one of the first phones eligible for the One UI 7 with Android 15.
Cameras
If you’re wondering about the cameras, the phone features a rear camera setup similar in design to Samsung’s Galaxy A series. It includes three lenses: the primary camera is 50MP with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) support. There’s also a telephoto lens for 3x optical zoom, also with OIS, and 8MP resolution.
The third lens is ultra-wide, designed for capturing very wide angles with a 12MP resolution. The camera can record videos in up to 8K at 24 frames per second, or 4K at 60 frames per second. On the front, there’s a 10MP selfie camera placed inside a hole in the middle of the screen, capable of recording 4K selfie videos.
