About two weeks ago, Samsung unveiled its latest entry-level phone in the Galaxy A series for 2024, the Galaxy A06. Despite being in the budget category, the new phone comes with some standout features that make it an excellent choice in this segment, such as the Helio G85 chip, a massive 5,000mAh battery, and a large 6.7-inch display (though it’s only HD+ resolution).
Along with the specs, which we’ll take a closer look at shortly, Samsung also designed some new default wallpapers for the Galaxy A06, which you can now download in their original quality below.
Samsung Galaxy A06 (Quick Look at the Specs)
The phone is not yet available for purchase in all regions, only in one Asian country so far—Vietnam—where you can buy it at a starting price of $160 (about 7,700 EGP or 600 SAR). PLS LCD Display
The new Samsung Galaxy A06 comes with a large 6.7-inch PLS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a pixel density of 262 PPI, featuring a waterdrop notch design for the front camera at the top. The screen doesn’t stand out except for its size.
Helio G85 Processor
As for the processor, you’ll get the Helio G85 octa-core chip with a 12nm manufacturing process from MediaTek. The operating system is the latest so far, Android 14 with One UI 6, and Samsung has promised that the phone will receive at least two Android updates, meaning it will get Android 15 and Android 16.
Memory Options
You have two memory options here: 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage, or 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. Note that the storage uses the very old eMMC 5.1 technology, which isn’t surprising given the phone’s budget category.
Basic Dual-Camera Setup
As for the camera, don’t expect anything special besides a basic photography experience. With the Galaxy A06, you’ll get a camera design similar to the old iPhone 11 from Apple with just two cameras: one is the main 50MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus support, and the other is a 2MP depth sensor for background blur. The camera supports 1080p video recording at 30fps. On the front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture at the top center of the screen.
Large Battery and Three Color Options
If you’re wondering about color options, you can choose between three: light green, glossy black, and light blue. As mentioned earlier, the phone comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. As for the price, you can buy it now starting at $160 for the 4GB RAM version.

GALAXY A06 Wallpapers
Samsung included only two wallpapers in its latest entry-level Galaxy A06, and they are very similar with only minor differences. It’s essentially one wallpaper, but it appears that one is for regular mode and the other for night mode. Both wallpapers are now available for download in their original quality and full dimensions of 720 × 1600 pixels (the same as the screen resolution), and you can get them below.
