List of phones eligible for Android 12.0 update. Android 11 was announced for the first time in its stable version in September 2020, as we expected before, since the appearance of the first developer version of it in February 2020. As usual, Google Pixel phones are the first to be updated for the new system, of course because Google itself does Android system developer.

Since that time, all smartphone manufacturers have been trying to launch Android 11 update for their devices until the time of writing these words, and what delays the process of updates so far is often modifying their custom interfaces such as One UI 3 or ColorOS 11, for example, to fit work on the new system.

In the event that you are wondering, “Will my phone get Android 12 update or not?” Then read what we mentioned below to find out the answer to your question. And if you happen to not find your phone in the following lists, then your only chance is to try the custom Android 12 ROMs if they are available for your phone.
The latest update to the Android 12.0 update list is below: January 28, 2021 .

Android 12: The Details

Android 12.0

But although so far most Android phones have not got the Android 11 update, it seems that the American giant Google has already started planning for the upcoming Android 12 OS. And since new Android versions are usually announced between September and October of each year, Android 12 update still has a year ahead until we see the first version of it, so all the things that we will talk about below are just leaks and rumors from here and there and there is no Something is for sure yet.

So, what do we know about Android 12 so far? Well, the thing is for sure, Google will call it Android 12, or Android S (according to the English alphabet because Android 11 has also come up with the name Android R). Not only that, in the official Google blog, there is a post in September 28, 2020, in which the company mentioned a paragraph about the upcoming system, which will be confirmed as Android 12 as well.

android 12 name

In this paragraph, the company explained how it will try to improve the user experience so that people can install and use other Android app stores on their phones without affecting the privacy and security features that characterize the Android system in recent versions.

There are some leaks that indicated the arrival of some other features in the Android 12 system, such as the ability to shoot an extended image with the camera, better cloud storage services, more restrictions on background apps and draining battery and processor resources, some other useful additions to the features of swipe navigation and gestures, and finally improvement the process of supporting external launcher apps and granting them the necessary permissions to work with their full features.

So, that’s all what we know so far about the upcoming Android 12 update for Android phones in 2021. However, I recommend that you save this page as part of your favorites in the browser because we will update it constantly.

Android 12.0 update for Android Devices

Users of flagship Android devices “in theory” should receive the new update, and the same situation also applies to some mid-range devices such as the Samsung Galaxy A series for 2021, for example. Android phones with Android One OS that will be launched this year should also receive the update, but in fact there are times that the update does not reach these versions.

Unfortunately, not all companies update their devices to the latest system version once it is released because some of them first have to update custom interfaces, which often contain a very large amount of features that need to be updated as well to fit the new system version, we are talking here about custom interfaces such as One UI or MIUI. Nevertheless, most other companies will likely start updating their phones to Android 12 starting in 2022 next year.

In the next list, the phone that has been marked with a BOLD line will be confirmed to get the Android 12 update, or the manufacturer has made an official statement that the update will arrive for the phone at some point. And we, on our part, hope that all phones on that list will receive the update.
