How to Unlock Bootloader on any Samsung Device in 2024? Detailed Guide

Some important notes:

Simply following the steps to unlock the bootloader on your Samsung phone will not trip the KNOX counter.
However, flashing any modified files like TWRP or Magisk will immediately trip the KNOX counter, which will affect your phone’s warranty if it is still valid.
Additionally, there are some apps that will no longer work if the KNOX counter is tripped, even if you relock the bootloader on your Samsung phone afterward, such as Secure Folder, Samsung Pay, and most banking apps.

Steps to Unlock the Bootloader on a Samsung Phone

Back up the current contents of your phone’s storage.
Open the Settings and scroll down to About Phone, then go to Software Information.
From here, find the Build Number and tap it 7 or 8 times in succession until the message “You are now a developer” appears.
Now, go back to the Settings page, and you’ll find a new option at the bottom called Developer Options. Enter it, then look for the OEM Unlocking option and enable it.
Once you’ve completed the previous steps, connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable, and then restart the phone.
